Monkeys!!!!!

Oh my gosh we just saw about 30 monkeys cross the road on the way to church!!! That was awesome!!! Totally made my day :D. I wasn't fast enough with my camera but I waved my arms victoriously to the van behind us exclaiming "MONKEYS!!!!"

Church was fantastic and everyone here is sooooo welcoming! Pastor Trevor reminds me so much of Mike Breaux...a former pastor at Willow! After the service we met with some of the staff and elders and talked about what to expect from the culture, country, and people of South Africa. He stressed the importance of empowering rather than fixing. My favorite points were 1. When there is a problem, build a bridge and get over it (totally having that saying printed on a tshirt!) and 2. Someone has to lay the first brick down! We also had the pleasure of meeting Tucker,the pastor's dog who slept under pastor's desk after consuming a plate of muffins before church. Food coma! :)
